Situation
SSE, a national energy company, had struggled for over five years to raise employee awareness of everyday environmental impact—previous campaigns failed to engage or drive behavioural change. Staff were avoiding training, and the Client had not found anyone to synthesise the ideas and concept effectively.
Task
I developed a concept, and Lead the end-to-end design, development, and content of what was essentially a 0–1 environmental awareness campaign, with full client backing and approval of idea, to transform employee behaviour and environmental consciousness.
Action
• Identified that legacy ambiguous environmental messaging was failing to resonate.
• Translated real-life statistics and waste data into attention-grabbing, relatable insights.
• Developed a visually striking approach to overcome engagement apathy.
• Created high-fidelity presentations showcasing tangible environmental impact.
• Designed compelling visual narratives for immediate stakeholder understanding and employee activation.
Result
• Achieved a five-year breakthrough, accomplishing what previous campaigns since 2019 could not.
